A Brazilian woman was kidnapped by criminals targeting her crypto-trading son, demanding a ransom of over 3.3 million reais (approximately $600,000) in Bitcoin. After tracking her son's social media posts, the kidnappers managed to locate her. Following her abduction, the mother was held at gunpoint for 12 hours until her son, who is based in Portugal, sent the ransom amount in Bitcoin. Brazilian police have apprehended four individuals involved in the crime.
