Boerse Stuttgart Digital Expands to Spain as Demand for Crypto Services Rises
Boerse Stuttgart Digital, the crypto arm of the Stuttgart Stock Exchange Group, has launched a new office in Madrid, marking its expansion into the Spanish market and its eighth European office. This move follows the receipt of the first MiCAR license from Germany’s BaFin regulator to provide regulated crypto trading and custody solutions for banks, brokers, and asset managers. The firm’s platform enables institutions to integrate cryptocurrency services into their retail offerings while adhering to the EU’s new Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCAR) framework. With projected crypto adoption exceeding 50% among the Spanish population by 2025, Boerse Stuttgart Digital is already engaging with key Spanish banks to facilitate regulated crypto access. CEO Dr. Matthias Voelkel emphasized Spain as a core market due to its innovative banking sector and ongoing discussions with major financial players.
