Bitget Wallet has introduced a crypto-linked payment card in collaboration with Mastercard and Immersve, enabling users to spend cryptocurrencies with over 150 million merchants globally. The card allows for real-time crypto-to-fiat settlement without fees and will initially roll out in the UK and European Union, with plans to extend to Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand. The integration harnesses Mastercard’s Digital First tools, allowing users to apply for the card through the Bitget Wallet app. Immersve provides the necessary backend infrastructure, ensuring transactions are securely processed according to regulatory standards. The initiative responds to increasing user demand for crypto payment solutions, especially among Millennials and in regions with underdeveloped banking systems. While the US market is currently excluded due to regulatory hurdles, Bitget Wallet is actively exploring opportunities for a potential future launch there, reflecting the growing traction in the crypto payment card sector.
