Bitcoin may still have steam for $250K this year: Fundstrat’s Tom Lee
Tom Lee, managing partner at Fundstrat, believes Bitcoin could reach $250,000 this year, despite a general pullback in projections from other analysts. Lee suggests that Bitcoin should aim for $200,000 to $250,000 by year-end, sharing his views during a recent podcast. While some analysts echo similar forecasts, others are more cautious, with institutions like Bernstein and Standard Chartered predicting Bitcoin prices around $200,000 and 10x Research's Markus Thielen suggesting a target of $160,000. Lee also indicates that the traditional four-year cycle for Bitcoin might be changing due to increasing institutional interest, a sentiment echoed by several industry executives. However, crypto analyst Rekt Capital points out that a market peak could occur in October 2025 if patterns from past cycles repeat. Despite recent fluctuations in Bitcoin's price, Lee remains optimistic, arguing that skepticism about the market can facilitate positive surprises and lead to better price discovery. He maintains a long-term outlook of $1 million for Bitcoin.
