Bitcoin Market Top Is 'Nowhere Near' as Price Pauses at $120K
Bitcoin's price has recently cooled off after reaching close to $123,000, settling below $120,000 despite a modest gain of 0.6% over the past 24 hours. Analysts, including Jeff Dorman from Arca, indicate that calls for a market top are premature, contrasting the current market sentiment with previous peaks observed in March 2024 and earlier this year. Bitcoin's market cap, around $2.5 trillion, is projected to converge with gold's value of $22 trillion. Eric Demuth, CEO of Bitpanda, highlighted the impact of rising sovereign debt and inflation fears on Bitcoin's increasing adoption. Looking ahead, he suggested that Bitcoin's integration into major investment portfolios is becoming a reality, potentially pushing its value even higher, with predictions reaching up to $233,000. Volumes on exchanges have increased, yet they remain lower than during past market rallies, reflecting the current phase of consolidation as profit-taking occurs.
