Billions Network Launches AI-Proof Mobile Identity App
Billions Network has launched a mobile identity app for Android and iOS, designed for AI-resistant and privacy-preserving verification. The app employs NFC-based document checks and zero-knowledge proofs to ensure secure identity verification without invasive biometric data. This move addresses growing concerns around the trustworthiness of traditional verification methods in the face of AI's capabilities. The app functions without needing proprietary hardware and stores no personal data, while the liveliness checks used for verification ensure user authenticity. The system utilizes institutional KYC and the Privado ID infrastructure, developed by contributors behind the Circom ZK-proof framework, serving over 9,000 Web2 and Web3 services. User data is stored locally on devices or in encrypted cloud storage, with explicit user consent required for sharing information. Future updates to the app are set to enhance its functionality with a web wallet interface and verifiable KYC services for institutional platforms.
