Ethereum stakers are increasingly poised to withdraw their ETH, resulting in a record exit queue that could pressure the asset's price. Currently, the exit queue contains 855,158 ETH, valued at approximately $3.7 billion, indicating significant potential sell-off concerns. Bitwise analyst Juan Leon states that the tokens waiting to be unstaked could negatively impact ETH’s price, particularly if staked ETH trades at a discount. This might trigger further sell pressure as traders look to repay loans amidst rising costs for borrowing ETH. Despite this growing concern, Leon noted that while the growing queue doesn't necessarily indicate an imminent price crash, it acts as a steady supply increase, thereby exerting downward pressure.
