Forgotten Playland, a social party game built on the Beam Network powered by Avalanche, has integrated blockchain technology and NFTs in its latest update. This inclusion allows for the trading of in-game assets, enhancing the game's decentralized gaming model. Players can earn two types of NFTs: cosmetic items, such as skins and emotes, and toyboxes, which are limited-edition bundles. The co-founder of Duckland Games, Zico Bakker, noted that these NFTs aim to offer personalization and marketplace trading. A play-to-airdrop campaign is also underway, rewarding players based on their game activity and cosmetic ownership. The latest update introduces a battle pass feature and seasonal challenges, with plans for more content like new party games and a Plushkyn Battle feature in the future. Forgotten Playland is designed as a free-to-play game available on Windows PC, emphasizing low fees and fast processing in its development.
