Cathie Wood's investment firm, ARK Invest, has purchased nearly $162 million worth of shares in Brera Holdings, which has rebranded as Solmate. This strategic move is part of Solmate's initiative to establish a digital asset treasury centered around Solana's SOL token. Brera, a Nasdaq-listed sports club owner, raised $300 million from Pulsar Group based in the UAE to acquire SOL. Following the news of ARK's investment, shares of Solmate surged, reaching as high as $52.95 before settling at $24.90, marking a significant gain of over 225% on the day. SOL itself has experienced a notable uptick this month, trading around $244, reflecting more than a 20% increase. ARK has integrated the investment into its ETFs: Innovation (ARKK), Next Generation Internet (ARKW), and Fintech Innovation (ARKF), thereby positioning itself advantageously in the evolving digital asset landscape.
