84% of GPs and LPs are 'optimistic' about crypto markets: Survey
A recent survey by Barnes & Thornburg revealed that 84% of general partners (GPs) and limited partners (LPs) are optimistic about the cryptocurrency markets, driven largely by regulatory clarity. The survey found that 85% of respondents plan to invest in crypto this year, with 61% attributing their interest to the clearer regulatory environment. This interest in crypto continues to exceed expectations, especially considering the industry's growth and innovative investment products. While there remains some skepticism about crypto's status as a safe haven during economic uncertainty, nearly 75% of surveyed investment professionals view the current economic outlook as presenting investment opportunities. Bitcoin shows resilience with an 81% increase noted since the beginning of the year. The survey data collected in April and March reinforces a positive sentiment across various sectors, suggesting a solid appetite for crypto driven largely by the potential for growth and regulatory support.
